Bindhu Pathakota

I am a lifelong student of Yoga. I credit my cultural heritage and South Asian ancestry for introducing me to the expansive ocean that is Yoga. I have immense gratitude for my teachers - Raveena, for re-invigorating my passion for yoga as an adult; Nitesh Batra and Sharath Jois, who trained me in the Ashtanga style of yoga; Khushi Malhotra who introduced me to Yogic science and philosophy, and continues to teach me about living by the Yamas and Niyamas; Tara Sonali Miller and Zeyah Rogé, who inspire and inform me to view and teach yoga through an inclusive, accessible and trauma informed lens. I graduated from the yoga teacher training program at the BYMC - SOMA School in 2025, almost 23 years after taking my first yoga class. Yoga and Music are two of the core pillars in my life and have been part of my life in some shape or form since I was 5 years old. I feel immensely blessed to be able to teach these practices that have helped shape me throughout my childhood and into adulthood. Yoga means something different to each of us, and yet, practicing together helps to connect us to ourselves and each other. My intention is to create a space similar to a symphony of breath. Different and unique sounds, and in sync to create something bigger than oneself.
