Whether it is dance, sports, yoga, or strength training, I have always loved moving my body in new and challenging ways. Originally from the Bay Area, I moved to Portland in 2019. After slowly making my way up the west coast from southern California where I graduated from CSU Long Beach with a degree in Marketing, I started my career in retail and have also spent some time working various roles in the field of education over the years. At the end of 2021, I realized that some aspects of my life were out of alignment and I felt like I was not living my values. It was at that moment I made the decision to change careers and began pursuing a certification as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). In June 2022 I completed my certification and began teaching group classes in early 2023. I have a spiritual practice that is rooted in the traditions and teachings of Zen Buddhism and I have come to appreciate the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and Lama Rod Owens. I strive to lead my classes with care and compassion and do all that I can to make sure I provide a space where participants can come to feel strong, capable, empowered, and perhaps most importantly, more at home in their own body.
